The media player MAG524w3 features the Amlogic S905X2 chipset, complete with the ARM Cortex-A53 CPU. The device is 25% more efficient than the previous generation of set-top boxes and enables operators to easily keep the level of service and seamlessly provide content in all popular formats, including 4K. The UI works smoothly and video playback is seamless. MAG524w3 can run without rebooting for months on end.
The device supports 4K, HDR, and HEVC, besides playing video at 60 fps. These features enable viewers to watch high-resolution content with rich colors and enjoy the most realistic image. The H.265 codec allows users to play such content even at low bit rates.
Eight-channel Dolby Digital Plus™ surround sound offers an immersive experience by making viewers feel like they are taking part in the on-screen events.
The set-top box connects to the internet in two convenient ways: via a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet cable or using a wireless connection, as the MAG524w3 features a built-in 2T2R ac Wi-Fi module.
