Infomir's new flagship set-top box
MAG500A is a powerful Android 9.0 media player that features 4K HDR playback at 60 fps1, HEVC codec support, voice control, eight-channel Dolby Digital Plus™ sound2, and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.
Powerful chipset. The set-top box is built with an Amlogic chipset that boasts a performance of 18,400 DMIPS, which is 3,400 points above Infomir's last-gen flagship device—MAG425A. Packing more power, MAG500A ensures smooth playback of even more demanding content.
Android TV. Certified by Google, MAG500A comes preloaded with its services, such as YouTube, YouTube Music, and Google Movies & TV. With personalized recommendations and subscriptions, it's even easier to look up exciting content to watch. Google Play Store features a catalog of over 7,000 apps, putting games, weather forecast, and other services at your fingertips.
The set-top box has passed all stages of Google's certification, guaranteeing reliable and hassle-free operation. In addition, the manufacturer releases feature and security updates regularly.
The device runs Android TV 9.0, the latest version of the OS available for the MAG set-top boxes, which brings system-wide automatic frame-rate, improved voice recognition and Bluetooth remote control features (manual update), and better user data protection.
4K HDR and HEVC. With MAG500A, you can enjoy your favorite content in maximum quality. The device supports 4K playback at 60 fps and brings HDR support for improved color rendering in both light and dark scenes.
The HEVC codec enables viewers to enjoy high-quality content while keeping the network load to a minimum, making it an excellent option for low-bandwidth internet connections.
Voice control. The Android TV set-top box supports Google Assistant with a Bluetooth voice-controlled remote. To start your search for content, all you have to do is press a button and say the name of whatever you are searching for. Then, the launcher will list recommended content from the apps installed on the system.3
With Google Assistant, you can use voice commands to search for information and control your set-top box, e.g., open apps, control playback, and adjust the volume.
Wireless connectivity. The device comes equipped with a Wi-Fi module operating on two bands: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. On the latter, the peak connection speed can be as high as 540 Mbps.
With Chromecast built-in, you can cast video, music, and games from a mobile device to the TV screen. No additional devices required—all you need is to connect the devices to the same network.
Its quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and ARM G31-MP2 GPU ensure that demanding 4K content is played smoothly and app interfaces and games stay snappy. The set-top box packs 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
All standard interfaces are also there: HDMI 2.1, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Ethernet 100 Mbps, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac. The device has a 120 × 78 × 21 mm body and weighs 110 g.
